International Studies

Based on decades of project experience with specialists from various industries and the interdisciplinary experience gained as a result, we reflect on problems that are part of global inequality and growing global instability.

As an example, we may mention our services for the United States Environmental Protection Agency. As part of an interdisciplinary project, we supported this authority with our expertise in the extensive and comprehensive evaluation of the software for assessing the consequences of various development scenarios at the level of a small city or community. The results relate to economic, demographic, health or environmental aspects of a community. During the evaluation, numerous deficiencies in the software were identified, suggestions for improvement formulated and forwarded to developers.

Another example of interdisciplinary studies came about in cooperation with the World Bank. The World Bank supports - among others - numerous forms of cooperation between public and private economic sectors, for example in relation to water supply or wastewater treatment. As part of a large-scale study, the World Bank is preparing recommendations to improve cooperation between the public and private sectors in the field of water management in Poland. As one of the participating institutions, we worked together with the Polish Institute for Public and Private Partnership (Instytut Partnerstwa Prywatno-Publicznego) in elaborating a study on legal and economic aspects of such partnership. The result of this study is a comprehensive report submitted to the World Bank.
